Circuit and street racing are popular in countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia, and young and upcoming talent is abundant, and grass-root One Make Race is the most popular platform chosen by Toyota distributors.

To nurture motorsports culture in Asian countries further, and to provide local top guns with an opportunity to experience a new competition format, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Asia is inviting drivers representing the above four countries this time to formulate Team Asia to compete in the endurance race.

Invited drivers are as follows:

Thailand: Mr. Teravate Pukpiboon (age 21)
Malaysia: Mr. Mark Darwin (27)
Philippines: Mr. Daniel Miranda (20)
Indonesia: Mr. Demas Agil Ramadani (25)

Except Mr. Ramadani, who is challenging Touring Car races and Gymkhana in Indonesia as a member of Toyota Team Indonesia, other 3 drivers are selected and recommended by Toyota distributors as one of their local One Make Race point leaders.

During the recently conducted 3-day training camp, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Asia found that the drivers skill levels were nearly equal, team chemistry among them is high, and their personality as well as aspirations are excellent.

These four drivers will drive a specially prepared Toyota Corolla Altis alternately for the 10-hour endurance race which is scheduled to finish at 20:30 on December 16th.
